Is the Decor Steals box worth $124.99, or are you just paying for a big surprise? The box is called the Steal It Box, and you buy it one time. It’s not a subscription box, so nobody charges your card every month. Most past seasonal boxes included seven full-size decor pieces, and everyone who bought that box got the same seven. It only ships to the lower 48 states.
What’s inside a Decor Steals box

Decor Steals is a daily deal site. It puts up three new products every morning at 10 a.m. Eastern, and each one stays up for 24 hours or until it sells out. The Steal It Box is separate from that. The pieces in the box are sold only in the box so that you won’t see them later in Daily Deals.
Past boxes have included things like:
- a wooden bench
- a big faux eucalyptus tree with a wood planter
- an embossed metal boot tray
- lanterns, glass cloches, and lidded boxes
- faux stems and some wall art
Each box also includes a printed style guide and a postcard.
Most of it is farmhouse style. The pieces are made to look old, so you’ll get uneven stain, chipped paint, and small size differences from one batch to the next. Decor Steals says this on its own FAQ page. If your place already has a few older-looking pieces, like the ones in our antique home decor ideas, the box will fit right in. If your living room is modern and glossy, a lot of it won’t.
Decor Steals box price for each type

There are three main box types, and the Steal It Box price is different for each one:
- Seasonal: $124.99 in past editions.
- Essentials: base pieces for one style, like European Cottage. The 2022 Refined Farmhouse box was $149.99.
- Celebration: holiday themes like Halloween or the 4th of July, usually between $99.99 and $124.99.
Occasionally, there’s also an IDK Surprise Box for $99. You get at least four items and don’t see anything before you buy, so it’s pretty much the same as the Decor Steals mystery box.
Prices change, so check the listing before you buy.
Decor Steals says each box is worth $500 or more. The company comes up with that number itself by looking at what similar items cost at other stores, and nobody outside the company checks it.
This fall they also brought back the 2024 Halloween box from their warehouse at the same 2024 price. It has two cast iron roosters, two glass cloches, and a rolling garden cart.
Is the Steal It Box worth it?

It depends on how many pieces you keep. At $124.99 for seven items, you pay about $18 a piece. That’s a good deal. But if you only like two of them, you paid over $60 each, and that’s not much of a deal anymore.
I think the Essentials box is the better buy for most people. Those pieces are neutral and can stay out all year. A Halloween box is fun, but it sits in a closet for 11 months, and in a small home that closet is probably full already.
The box is a good fit if you:
- already like farmhouse or cottage style
- are decorating an empty room and can use almost everything
- enjoy not knowing what you’ll get
If you’d rather choose one big piece yourself, a single showpiece might offer more bang for your buck.
Decor Steals shipping and damage rules

Decor Steals ships only within the contiguous US. It doesn’t ship to APO or FPO addresses either.
If something shows up broken, you have 30 days from the ship date to report it. They want photos of the item and the box it came in, so don’t throw the packaging out right away. One more thing: their ads mix in older products and props, so the ad might not show what’s actually in your box.
FAQs
Can you choose what goes in the box?
No. Every box in an edition is the same, and you can’t swap or skip items. If you order two, you get the same seven pieces twice.
Does Decor Steals ship to Alaska or Hawaii?
No. Shipping covers only the contiguous US, so Alaska and Hawaii are excluded. Military APO and FPO addresses aren’t covered either.
When do new boxes come out?
Seasonal boxes usually go on sale a season early, so a fall box sells in the summer. Decor Steals announces the dates by email and text alert.
Before the next box drops, look at the room you want to decorate and count the empty spots on your tables, shelves, and walls. If you can’t fill seven, skip the box and grab one or two daily deals instead. Signing up for their email or text alerts is the easiest way to catch the next launch.
